Royal Rule FOC 2009

 

A team representing Royal College led by Dhanushka Perera emerged victorious at the 21st annual Festival of Cricket (FOC) held at the Winchmore Hill Cricket Club, London on the 12th of July 2009.
Old boys of twenty four school teams took part at the FOC this year.

For winners Royal Malinda Thotiwilage was in good form and his contributions helped them beat Holy Cross, St. Peter’s, D S Senanayake and then Isipatana at the Semi-finals.

Royal College OBA-UK team was crowned Champions of the Festival of Cricket tournament 2009 and received the 'OBA Challenge Trophy' whilst, Thurstan OBA-UK, were the runners-up.

Zahira OBA-UK won the Plate and the runner-up was Mahinda College. Dhanushka Perera captained the winning Royal Team.

Man of the Tournament award was won by Royalist Malinda Thotiwilage and Man of the Final Match was Thurstan’s Damith Indika.
