Dilshan Munaweera continued his good habit with the bat by following his 172 against Saracens SC in the shorter version three days ago, when he cracked another 166 against Kurunegala YCC on day one of their Under 23 encounter at Reid Avenue.

The right hander solely dominated the home team’s innings in two sessions of play which saw him finding the ropes on 11 occasions and over the ropes four times. His knock enabled Bloomfield end their innings by making a formidable 303. Kurunegala YCC’s right arm pacie Yohan Kanumale though unable to curtail Munaweera, ended with a four wicket haul. Kurunegala YCC facing 14 overs ended the day on 31 for 2. The match will be continued today.

Bloomfield 303 in 77.4 overs (Dilshan Munaweera 166, Seshan de Silva 27, Nilushan Nonis 24, Nipun Karunanayake 43 n.o.: Yohan Kanumale 4 for 51, Chamikara Edirisinghe 3 for 25)
Kurunegala YCC 31 for 2 in 14 overs (Rajitha Ratnayake 21 n.o; Lahiru Sri Lakmal 2 for 16)
Moors fight back

Moors fought back after Colts right arm spinner Rajeewa Weerasinghe (who had a six wicket haul) to spin them out for 137 and to bundle the home team for a lowly 106 on the opening day at the Colts ground.

The down fall of the Colts batting was due to a fine combination of bowling between the right and left arm spinners skipper Pishan Hewage and Anuk de Alwis. The match is now in an interesting stage with Moors batting the second time on 19 for 1.

Moors 137 in 44 overs (Isham Ghouse 34, Primosh Perera 16, Isuru Gunasena 32 n.o.: Rajeewa Weerasinghe 6 for 38) and 19 for 1 in 4 overs

Colts 106 in 37.5 overs (Mahesh Kumara 47: Pishan Hewage 4 for 24, Anuk de Alwis 4 for 35)
Sangaran, Yohan and Pubudu steer Saracens SC

Sangaran Nandalal, Yohan Fernando and Pubudu Edirisinghe steered Saracens with half tons helping their side to end the day on 263 against Moratuwa SC at the De Zoysa Stadium in Moratuwa.
Saracens SC 263 in 89.1 overs (Sangaran Nandalal 68, Pubudu Edirisinghe 59, Yohan Fernando 58, Charith M. Fernando 32: Lasitha Mendis 2 for 32, Chamesh Fernando 2 for 38, Yoshan Kumara 2 for 54, Milindu Fernando 2 for 76) vs Moratuwa SC

Panadura 149, SSC 164/4
SSC were 164 for 4 in reply to Panadura’s 149 at the end of the first days play at the SSC ground.
Panadura 149 in 46 overs (Ranga Cooray 33, Krishan Dinidu 24, Manoj Niroshan 15: Sanjaya Fernando 5 for 30, Shalika Karunanayake 2 for 22, Chaminda Bandara 2 for 36)

SSC 164 for 4 in 47 overs (Dimuth Karunaratne 33, Hans Fernando 29, Bhanuka Rajapakse 26, Krishal Magage 37 n.o., Shalika Karunanayake 20 n.o.)
