Sri Lanka's financial industry still not completely out of the dark

Mr. Kithsiri Wanigasekara started his career as a trainee accountant at Noritake Lanka Porcelain Limited; he holds a postgraduate degree in Business Administration and he is also an accountant by profession. Mr. Wanigasekara also worked at Sinhaputhra Finance Limited in Kandy for a period of 6 years after which he was promoted to the post of Finance Director.

LOLC takes Islamic financing to greater heights

The LOLC (Lanka ORIX Leasing Company PLC) was incorporated with the objective of bringing a new facet to the financial services industry of Sri Lanka. With this in mind the company has focused its attention towards the area of Shari'ah Compliant Financing, with the objective of playing a more active role in developing this area of the country's financial services sector.
