French film ‘Son frère’ (His Brother), the moving tale about a touching relationship between two brothers will be screened at 3 pm on September 29 and 6.30 pm on Wednesday 30 at Alliance Francaise, Colombo 7.
Directed by Patrice Chéreau, the film revolves around two brothers who don’t have a relationship with one another until one becomes terminally ill. Thomas is slowly dying.
He has accepted this and has decided to wait for his death on the coast, at the house where he spent his childhood.
His imminent death will nevertheless cause catastrophe for those around him, forcing them to re-examine their own existence, and thus prompt change in the course of their own lives. |
