QIBT - Queensland'sleading pathway provider

Since 1997, QIBT and Griffith University have worked together to help over 6,000 students gain access to tertiary studies, thus earning the reputation as Queensland's leading university pathway provider. QIBT is in Brisbane - an ideal place to live and study. It is Australia's fastest-growing capital city and is widely considered the country's most livable city, offering a safe, multicultural environment.

QIBT is located on Griffith University's Mt Gravatt campus. If you want to study in a relaxed, friendly environment, at a campus-based university, then QIBT is for you. Facilities are extensive, ensuring that students can easily satisfy their needs. A modern, well equipped library, 24 hour computer laboratories, bookshop, cafeteria and café are just a few of the facilities available to QIBT students. Sporting facilities include tennis and basketball courts, badminton and baseball facilities, a sports oval, swimming pool and gymnasium. For students wanting to live on-campus, Mt Gravatt College provides fully catered single room accommodation. There is also ample on-campus car parking and an express busway operates between the campus and city on a regular basis.

QIBT tuition fees are very competitively priced amongst Australian institutions, giving an affordable education that allows you to get the maximum return on your investment. There is an average of 35 - 40 students per lecture and 20 - 25 students per tutorial/workshop, giving students more individual and personalised attention.

QIBT is registered as a Higher Education Provider, approved by the Australian Government, and delivers programmes in compliance with:

  1. The Commonwealth Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act.
  2. The Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
  3. The Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET).

Upon successful completion of the QIBT Diploma programme, you are guaranteed entry into the second year of the relevant Griffith University degree programme. Graduate with an internationally recognised degree from one of Australia's most innovative and forward-thinking universities.

A QIBT representative is available to welcome you on arrival at the airport and transfer you to your accommodation. Orientation is intended to provide you with valuable information to help you settle in at QIBT and perform at your best as quickly as possible. A free and confidential welfare and counselling service is available to all QIBT students.

Participating in extra-curricular activities and getting out and about is an important part of student life. QIBT encourages you to interact and enjoy your experience by taking a break from your studies and having some fun by participating in extra-curricular activities. A 24-hour security is provided on all Griffith University campuses. During orientation, you will be placed with a friendly student mentor, who will help you to adjust to study and life in Australia.

Your mentor will maintain regular contact with you to assist with any questions, academic concerns or personal issues you may have throughout the semester. Come and meet the QIBT representative, Emily Haralampou at a free information session and seminar. Emily will be conducting student interviews at the two Jeewa Australian Education Centre offices.
