Achievers: The embodiment of diversity & strength

Syllabuses will change but some things don't change

Syllabuses may change but there are some things that don't change which is that we are the largest CIMA Professional level College in Sri Lanka. That is because we believe in delivering quality education at the highest level. "We had humble beginnings but our growth is exponential" says Krishnakumar, Director and Senior Lecturer of Achievers. This would not have been possible without the hard work, commitment and dedication of all who make up Achievers.

CIMA Syllabus change - 2010
Syllabus change can be troublesome for students and challenging for CIMA Tutors, yet at Achievers it is so simple because our experienced panel has seen four syllabus changes and are masters in this art of taking students through to the new syllabus. To be a good CIMA lecturer, you should not only have a good knowledge of the subject matter but must also possess the experience and delivery skills to put it through to the students in a way they could assimilate the matter. This is what Achievers excels in. The syllabus change suits us more. There is a closer match between the syllabus requirements and our teaching skills which puts us in clear lead over others.

Operational and Management Levels
Achievers is poised to make a perfect start in this new Operational and Management Levels with lecturers who have many years of experience in the Education & Corporate sector in the calibre of Jairaj Krishnakumar, Ravi Edirisinghe, Senaka Kakiriwaragoda, Faris Ismail, Azad Hye, Rumy Sakkaf and Delon Kellar. These lecturers have perfect understanding and work as a closely knit unit. A feature in our course delivery is constant updating of study notes and material to keep our students up to date. Our students can contact our lecturers by email or phone at any time to obtain on-line help at any time. This is why at Achievers teaching is not a business but a passion.

Strategic Level
The new syllabus will comprise of a common case study. Pre-seen material will be common for all three subjects but students must note that they will get different unseen materials for each subject on the exam day. Lecturers must be able to anticipate in what areas questions may be set. It is in this area Achievers possess the greatest strength over all others.

We have three powerful lecturers in Senaka Kakiriwaragoda, Ravi Edirisinghe and Jairaj Krishnakumar with 50 years of experience between them. Being practicing professionals they can apply theory to practical situations.

Their working experience spanning multiple sectors will enrich the delivery of the common case and help students to understand the potential issues confronting the business in the case.
Their close working relationship and exchange of knowledge is indeed a competitive advantage for Achievers. The demand has far exceeded our capacity in the Strategic Level

TOPCIMA
Our TOPCIMA numbers have exceeded 300 students and continues to grow as we possess the best pass rates. Senaka's experience in solving real business issues has helped students immensely.

Achievers is focused in attracting the best
Our Chairman and senior lecturer, Ravi Edirisinghe has a vision to attract high calibre students. He says "Our Merit based Scholarships are aimed at getting the best quality that will benefit all our stakeholders" This strategy is aimed at getting the best results in every session and Achievers is progressing fast in this direction.

Prizes awarded to Achievers Students
In recent times Achievers has been getting the lion's share of prizes awarded every session. "A list of prizes in our Brochure is testimony to the amazing successes our students are having in CIMA exams" says Faris Ismail, CEO and senior lecturer of Achievers.

It shows that Achievers is moving strongly in the right direction and its strength and diversity makes it the best Business School to deliver the new syllabus.
