Harpo's Cafes & Restaurants presents the Ghalib Ghallab Jazz Xperience at Park Street Mews on January 7,9 and 10.

Ghalib Ghallab, the Las Vegas musician interacts with his audiences with his energetic style of piano playing that he practises in the Terrazza Lounge at Caesars Palace. Night after night, Ghalib takes to the stage to perform a classic blend of soft contemporary jazz, high-energy rhythm and blues and a mixture of other dynamic musical styles.

Ghallab performed in Las Vegas, Nevada for the first time in 1989 drawing audiences that included Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and James Brown and performed at a multitude of venues, including the Jazz Underground and Aladdin Hotel. He soon moved to the city, forming the Ghalib Ghallab Experience alongside his middle son, Jihad Ghallab, a drummer, and bass player Blaise Sison. The group performs throughout Las Vegas, in such venues as Caesar's Palace."

Audiences can join in his musical journey - with stops in the American musical heartland, Blues Roots coming to the foreground, then on to South America, revealing rhythmic skills on Latin Sambas and Salsa, swinging to American pop with R & b classics.

His musical upbringing has seen influences of John Coltrane and the contemporary funk of George Duke. He has released eight albums and is currently working on his ninth. Tickets are available at Park Street Mews. Call 2300133 for inquiries.
