Access to Indian Universities thro’ Indian fair today

Prominent Universities, Colleges and Boarding Schools across India team up to showcase the strengths of Indian education at the largest ever gathering of Indian educational institutions in one grand exhibition in Sri Lanka this week. This mega exhibition- The Great Indian Education Fair opened on Friday and closes today at Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre.

This education fair is organised by the India-based AFAIRS Exhibitions & Media Pvt. Ltd with the support of the High Commission of India in Sri Lanka, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Indo Lanka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sri Lanka Convention Bureau and PIO Council of Sri Lanka (GOPIO Sri Lanka), the organisers said.

The Fair will exhibit some of India's prominent Universities and Colleges. This segment will offer students from science, commerce and humanities streams, a choice of undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and vocational courses which can be pursued in India.

The Great Indian Education Fair 2010 will feature some of the prominent institutions and universities such IIT, Symbiosis International University (Pune), Nirma University (Ahmedabad), Hindustan University (Chennai), Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University (Maharsatra), KLE University (Karnataka), NITTE University (Mangalore) and many such others.

The exhibition will be divided in two distinct sections - the Schools Section and the Universities, Colleges and Higher Education Section. The Schools Section will showcase premier residential schools from India offering primary, middle and secondary levl education. The Higher Education Section will cater to the academic concerns of adult students in the 18 - 25 year age group.
