The Annual Prize Distribution of Holy Family Convent Bambalapitiya was held on June 16 at the School Auditorium. The Chief Guests were His Excellency Dr. Peter Hayes, the High Commissioner for the United Kingdom in Sri Lanka and Mrs. Kirsty Hayes. This much awaited event of the school calendar recognizes the achievements and skills of the student body. Apart from excellence in the academic sphere students are rewarded for their performance in the extra curricular arena as well. From budding artists to speakers to sports women, students walked away with prizes for excelling in a variety of disciplines.

The education policy of the school is to build “an integral person who grows in wisdom and strength, pleasing to God and people, in the footsteps of our greatest Guru, Jesus Christ, the Principal, Rev. Sr. Chandani said. In her speech, the Principal emphasized on the need of moulding students who “understand and appreciate the cultural and religious heritage of the various people of Sri Lanka, and help create relationships built on understanding and love”, in this historical time of Sri Lanka that is at the threshold of a new era.
