Appointment of Directors – NDB, DFCC

The Colombo Stock Exchange this week revealed, through announcements by the respective companies, that Sarath Wickramanayaka, Anura Siriwardena and Ms Kimarli Fernando have been appointed as directors to the Board of National Development Bank (NDB).

Also the Board of Directors of DFCC Bank brought in C R Jansz and R B Thambiayah as directors.
Ms Fernando is an attorney at law and has an LLB from the London School of Economics. In addition to her director post at NDB she is a director at L B Finance and is also a director and management committee member of Waters Edge, appointed by the Supreme Court.

Mr Siriwardena is the Secretary to the Ministry of Cooperative and Internal Trade and was the former CEO of the Independent Television Network (ITN). Mr Wickramanayaka is a consultant of NDB and is a director of NDB PLC, Aviva NDB Insurance, NDB Aviva Wealth Management Ltd, Rainbow Trust Management (Private) Ltd, and PC House Ltd.

Mr Jansz is a director at the Distilleries Company of Sri Lanka PLC, Lanka Milk Foods (CWE) PLC, Lanka Power Projects (Pvt) Ltd and several other companies of the distilleries’ group.
Mr Thambiayah is currently the Chairman of Renuka Hotels Ltd and Renuka City Hotels Plc and several companies of the Renuka Hotels group and other companies.
