Friendship week for police from around the world

The National Executive Committee of the International Police Association (IPA Sri Lanka) under the presidency of Inspector General of Police Mahinda Balasuriya, has arranged an IPA International Friendship Week from August 15 to 25 to foster better relationships with the IPA members worldwide.

Forty five serving and retired Police Officers along with their families from Australia, Canada, England, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Portugal, Slovakia, Hong Kong, Hungary and Italy will be attending this friendship week. This is the fourth such International Friendship Week organized by the local branch.

The visitors will enjoy an eventful 10 day programme taking in all the major places of interest across the country.

The event is being sponsored by the Bank of Ceylon, National Savings Bank, Peoples Bank and the National Lotteries Board. JetWing Events along with the Cinnamon Hotels and Chaaya Hotels of the John Keells Group are organizing the tour on behalf of the IPA Sri Lanka.
