Gateway Graduate School has proven its success once again by producing several High Achievers who have obtained outstanding results in their First and Second Years of the Degree courses. These students have made the slogan of the Gateway Graduate School, “Focus on the Finest” meaningful, by their excellent academic achievements.

Gateway Graduate School, in partnership with NCC Education UK, offers a choice of two career pathways to complete Degrees in Business Computing and Information Systems or Business Administration, here in Sri Lanka. In both Degrees, students are able to receive industry-recognized qualifications – Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas, from NCC Education UK - on successful completion of the first and the second years.

The BSc. top-up is delivered by NCC Education and is validated and awarded by the University of Wales. Through the Graduate School, Gateway, offers its students an affordable option of obtaining internationally recognised degrees right here in Sri Lanka. The courses are offered on both part-time and full-time basis and students have the option of completing the full programme in Sri Lanka or transferring to overseas universities in UK, USA or Australia at the end of every academic year.

In the Business pathway, at the September 2010 examination, Nilupa Wijewickrama received the Global High Achiever Award for her second year of studies while Tharaka Jayasinghe received the Global High Achiever Award for the first year of studies.

In the Business Computing and Information Systems pathway, Gateway’s students were recognised to be the Global and Regional High Achievers in three consecutive examinations; Kiyoshi Julianne Berman received the Global High Achiever Award in the March 2010 examination, Rostra Savindy Jayasuriya received the Regional High Achiever Award for the June 2010 examination and Vindya Wibodini De Silva received the Regional High Achiever Award for the September 2010 examination.

At Gateway, an International Foundation Programme is available for students who wish to join after Sri Lankan or London O/Ls. The Foundation Programme will benefit students who wish to continue their studies to degree level and beyond, but who are currently under-qualified both linguistically and in their subject specialization to begin undergraduate studies.

The programme, in addition to raising students’ English level, will also provide a firm grounding in Business and Computing along with study skills, personal development and culture.

Dr. Harsha Alles, Director Gateway Group, perceives that the success of the students is the result of the commitment, dedication and the personal attention given to them at all times by Gateway’s outstanding Lecture panel headed and guided by the Head of the Graduate School, Mr Michael Dobson.

The school is a state-of-the-art international campus, with plans to add on more streams and tie-up with other recognised international universities in the pipeline. “It is one of the few graduate schools in Sri Lanka that offers a campus atmosphere, where education is not limited to the classroom alone,” asserts Michael Dobson, the Head of the Graduate School.

With qualified and experienced staff drawn from the industry, an up-to-date library, multimedia centre etc. the Graduate school indeed focuses on the finest.

A beautiful and a spacious garden with play areas for many sports including Tennis, Basketball, Netball and many others provide the necessary environment for a modern campus. Facilities such as swimming pool, badminton courts, squash courts etc. will be made available to students in the near future.

Further details of the Gateway Graduate School can be obtained from the Registrar by writing to ggs@gatewayworldwide.com or calling 2888858 or 2877277.
