Hisham Abdeen speaking to the Sunday Times said that Rugby Football being a contact sport it is important that coaches are properly qualified and work according to a programme. “Winning is not everything. We teach the students about socializing which is important. At the end of the game we make more friends than enemies.”

Hisham continued: “In a short time for 2 years we have trained boys and girls in the age groups 8-18 years. Our coaching staff includes some former national players in the caliber of Marco De Silva, Tony Wimalasuriya and Kamal Jayawardena assisted by former Sri Lanka ladies captain Herosha Fernando.

Abdeen concluded by saying: “We have won trophies whilst touring Thailand recently. We also conducted our second sevens tournament successfully yesterday.”
