Join hands with the Girl Guides for a day of Fun and Adventure at Rally 2011
COME ON . COME ALL. .

The Girl Guides' Association, which was established in Sri Lanka in 1917, is now approaching the centenary of Girl Guiding in the Island. In order to ensure that the Movement stays relevant to our members we intend making significant changes to what we as an Association offer them. Rally 2011 will bring together members from all 9 provinces to share in a day of unity, spirit, and fun.

It is an opportunity for members from across the island to come together and appreciate the diversity prevalent among sister Guides. Rally 2011 will launch new uniforms, new programmes, and a new image for the Association which will ensure its continuity and enhance an atmosphere of camaraderie among its members. Set in a lively, carnival atmosphere, this event will be an unforgettable experience for participants that combines a day of fun and challenges with the opportunity to be a part of the important changes taking place within the Association.

This memorable occasion will be graced by the presence of the First Lady of Sri Lanka Madam Shiranthi Wickremasinghe Rajapaksa as the Chief Guest for the day. Rally 2011 will be held at Galle Face Green on April 9 between 8am and 3pm, where the Guides will parade from Girl Guides' Headquarters to Galle Face Green to the official launch commencing at 9.15 am. This will be followed by a day of absolute Fun and Excitement.

See you all there at the Rally 2011, sponsored by our platinum sponsors:
