Gateway beats AIS and Lyceum to win Netball Championship

Gateway College Colombo were worthy winners of the Over 15 Girls Netball Championships that was organized by the Colombo International School held at the Henry Pedris Park. Gateway's Under 15 Girls emerged runners-up in the same tournament.

In the final, Gateway beat Asian International School19-8. Sandali Weerasinghe(15) and Anjani Kulawansa (4) were outstanding in their shooting. In the group matches, Gateway beat Lyceum Wattala 15-3 and Leighton Park International 14-1. At the Semi Finals, Gateway beat Lyceum Nugegoda 19-6.\

Gateway's Sandali Weerasinghe was named the Netball Queen of the tournament and Vijini Dahanayake received the award for being the Best Defensive Player. In the Under 15 category, Shanali Ranatunga of Gateway was chosen to be the Best Centre Court Player.
