National Development Bank (NDB) emerged Cup champions at the Mercantile Open Double s team Badminton Championships 2011 concluded at the S. Thomas’ Courts in Mt. Lavinia last weekend. On their way to the top NDB beat Nations Trust Bank 3-0, beat HSBC 3-1 at the semi-final and over ran Commercial Bank 3-1 in the finals. The champion team was coached by Pradeep Welagedara. The event was sponsored by Akzo Nobel Paints Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.
