Academy of Design (AOD), South-Asia's celebrated design campus offering undergraduate education in fashion, graphic, interior along with EDEXEL BTEC National qualifications in Photography and Jewellery Design has announced its OPEN DAY.

AOD's Open Day is an interactive day at the campus, giving an insight to its education, facilities, students, alumni, careers and the faculty. In addition, AOD will also host a range of free design workshops conducted by its international faculty, providing a rare opportunity for design students to receive introductory creative education from professional designers.

The design exhibition with the design portfolios of AOD students from Fashion, Interior and Graphic design will be freely open to the public, providing an interesting snapshot of the work by these young designers.

In addition, a Special Presentation; 'The Power of the Creative Industries and the Opportunities that it offers to Youth' will be held exclusively for specially invited local and international school principals and educationists. This is to create awareness on the developing opportunities for our students within the emerging Creative Sector in Sri Lanka and internationally.

The AOD Open Day 2011 is to be held from- 9.00am - 5.00 pm on Saturday the 23rd of July 2011 at the AOD 29, Lauries Road, Colombo 4.
