University of Ballarat (Australia):Affordable Australian Education directly at your doorstep

Sri Lanka today stands at the threshold of a huge educational upsurge. It is a national priority to turn Sri Lanka into an international education hub by making it a centre of excellence. The entry of the prestigious University of Ballarat into Sri Lanka is to help the country realize this laudable goal.

The University of Ballarat, which is the third oldest educational institution (Estd.1870) in Australia with over 25,000 students and a five Star rating for teaching quality, has come up with a novel and attractive initiative to help students in Sri Lanka, to directly enrol and continue with their graduate and postgraduate programmes while staying in the country. As a result of this initiative, Sri Lankan students no longer need to look for accredited and affiliated colleges to pursue foreign University degrees.

Bryan D Cole Director of Studies, ATMC / UB Sri Lanka Study Centre

This campus will endeavour to fulfil the long-standing requirement of the Sri Lankan student by offering international education at an affordable cost, and within easy reach. The student will be enrolled directly as University of Ballarat (UB) students. The academics at the University of Ballarat Sri Lanka (UBSL) study centre will be moderated directly by the University of Ballarat. The students will be studying the same course as their counterparts in Australia but at less than one sixth of the actual cost. Just for the sake of comparison:

University of Ballarat Sri Lanka Study Centre Foundation Course - LKR 225,000 only (1 year course)
Our Degree Programme fees - LKR 1, 272, 500*

Fees of the similar degree with living costs in Australia - LKR 8,000,000
Savings - LKR 6,727,500
You be the judge; why should you pay so much extra money for the same Degree?

University of Ballarat offers a seamless opportunity to start Australian studies at Foundation level and continue right up to the Master's level while continuing to be the University student right throughout.
When your aim is to get a Degree, then why do part of the course as a Diploma student, part in Sri Lanka, part in a third country and part in Australia, when you can be an Australian University student from the day of your enrolment till the completion of your studies? The University of Ballarat Study Centre offers a unique opportunity to see your children follow foreign University courses directly under your supervision in the safe home environment and with Sri Lankan cultural values.

Why send your loved ones away when the same quality education, at a very affordable cost, is available right at your doorstep?

The University of Ballarat will provide specialist career services, including career coaching that is delivered by a qualified careers counsellor. These services are free to all enrolled UBSL students and include a Programme on Strategic Career Management that is exclusive to UBSL. The programme includes workshops that can assist in identifying career opportunities, resume development and preparing for interviews. Additional career assistance sessions are designed to help our students maximize their employability outcomes. We will offer the students actual training and internships in the actual workplace environment to make them "job ready."

If your loved one can be gainfully employed within the country or anywhere internationally, after the University of Ballarat qualification (recognised internationally) obtained within Sri Lanka, then why worry about his/her career? Rest-assured that your loved one would definitely get a good job.
We have the most modern computer labs, air-conditioned classrooms, and experienced faculty both local as well as from Australia. Students, if they wish can transfer their credits to Australian Universities and complete their degrees in Australia. We offer free English language training to the students. The students study in small classrooms and get individual attention from the teachers.
