Hayleys Energy Services receives rare 4-in-1 certification

Hayleys Energy Services, Sri Lanka’s leading logistics provider for the oil and gas exploration sector has been significantly strengthened by a number of important international certifications covering quality and environment management systems, occupational health and safety and social accountability.

Picture shows Chas Charles – Director/CEO of Hayleys Energy Services (second left) receiving the integrated certificate from Batuwita Sumanasiri – Manager Systems & Services Certification – SGS Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. Shakeer Azeez – Head of Finance (extreme left). Omar Hannan – Manager Operations (extreme right) of Hayleys Energy Services and Malik Perera – Director – Swiss Advantage Systems (Pvt) Ltd. are also in the picture.

The company was recently awarded ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems, OHSAS 18001:2007 Health and Safety Management Systems and SA 8000:2008 Social Accountability Management Systems certification together with an integrated certificate covering all four accreditations from SGS Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.

These globally recognised best practice accreditations were awarded to Hayleys Energy Services after a series of stringent audits carried out by a team of lead auditors from SGS Lanka, the company said.
The accreditations will provide a major boost to the company’s bid to further enhance its appeal among discerning international clients who insist on certified compliance in quality, environment, health and safety and accountability, it said.

“Obtaining these accreditations is an important milestone in the evolution of Hayleys Energy Services into an international player in the provision of logistics services for oil and gas exploration projects,” said Chas Charles, the company’s CEO, and an oil and gas exploration veteran with 40 years of experience in the field. “These diverse certifications represent our commitment to excellence in all aspects of our operations.”

“The company developed expertise in providing support services for all stages of the exploration process -- up to drilling and extraction of oil and gas -- through its role as the sole logistics services provider for oil exploration in the Mannar basin,” he said.
