Cooray leads Joes to Victory

St Joseph's College trounced Gurukula Vidyalaya, Kelaniya by 87 runs in the opening game of the Sri Lanka Schools Under 13 tournament played at Darley Road. Batting first SJC rattled up 176/6 declared with left hander Revan Kelly top scoring with a stylish 45. In reply the visitors were all at sea against a strong and tight Josephian attack. Skipper Harin Cooray was the chief wrecker claiming six wickets as Gurukula were bundled out for just 89 runs.
