Funday Times - A Poem for the week

Who is it?

By Sanjalee Dalpathadu (11 years), St. Bridget’s Convent

Fluttering in the flower patch,
Caterpillars they hatch.
A flower on a flower is a
perfect match,
Which little children like to catch.

Shiny, soft, petal like wings,
Fluttering in pride like kings!
The sound of wings, it sings,
It’s nothing but a butterfly.

Coming down from
Adam’s Peak,
Sweet, honey flowers they seek.
So brave, so meek.
Oh! Just a butterfly!
