Sanka Ramesh saves Moratu MV

60th Battle of the Gold’s

Moratu MV skipper Sanka Ramesh steered his side to a draw against Sri Sumangala Panadura in their 60th ‘Battle of the Gold’s’ concluded at De Zoysa Stadium in Moratuwa yesterday.

Sanka made an unbeaten 74 to help Moratu MV, who were made to follow on with a deficit of 110 runs, to end the day on 203 for 4. Earlier in the day Moratu MV resuming from their first inning from their overnight score of 82 for 5, was bowled out for 116 with overnight batsman Thilan Kavishka making 61.
