If you are considering a successful career in the hotel and tourism industry, then HTMi can help you achieve your ambition. HTMi, The School of International Hotel and Tourism Management is located in Soerenberg, a very attractive holiday resort in the Kanton of Luzern in Central Switzerland.

The international hotel and tourism industry is dynamic, fast moving and rewarding and the world’s largest employer of people. There are many exciting career opportunities for our young graduates.
HTMi trains and equips our students with the above skills by offering both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. For the undergraduate programme, after successful completion of two and a half years of training, a student will be awarded a Higher Diploma and after one more year of training with a top ranking Bachelors BSc Hons Degree in International Hotel & Tourism Management.

HTMi also offers a one-year Postgraduate Diploma as well as a one-year Masters degree programme. All HTMi qualifications are recognised by quality educational organizations, associations and universities. HTMi is also accredited by the Swiss Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (CHRIE), Hotel and Catering Institutional Management Association (HCIMA) and by the British Accreditation Council (BAC). According to David Coy, HTMi’s Principal: “Training is a strong part of students’ professional development and this complements our high quality academic programme. As an integral part of training, HTMi’s students are required to complete Paid Work Placement Training in hotels, restaurants or other suitable organizations.

This is arranged and monitored by dedicated HTMi staff. Students must complete five months of Work Placement during each academic year and are paid a gross salary of 2,180 Swiss Francs per month. One of the key benefits to our students is the ability to practice and improve their professional behaviour skills.

HTMi’s campus consists of two typical Swiss hotels overlooking a beautiful landscape of mountains and valleys. The hotels are well-equiped with first class facilities including bedrooms with en suite facilities, 120 seat restaurant, student lounges, student gym, student bar, bowling alley, excellent conference rooms, top quality kitchens for training, a school reception and office. There is also a large indoor swimming pool and sauna which is available to HTMi students at no extra cost. Says Mr Siket, Placement Manager HTMi: “All graduating students receive assistance through HTMi’s Centre for Career Management which is connecting them with leading International Hotel Companies from UK/ USA/ Europe/ Middle East that visit their campus 2 times each year for recruitment. A select group of their students are also provided with an International Career Trip once every intake to a leading destination for hospitality around the world.”
