Dushayanth comes like a ‘Dedunna Wage’
By Sanath WeerasuriyaPopular singer Dushyanth Weeraman will come alive in a solo concert named ‘Dedunna Wage’ on the 28th of July from 7.00pm onwards at the St. Joseph’s College Auditorium.
The Concert is a compilation of Dushyanth Weeraman’s original music as well as covers of Michael Jackson, Queen, Justin Bieber, Jimmy Cliff and featured some of the popular artistes in the Sri Lankan music scene such as Nirosha Virajini, Mariazelle Gunathilake, Umara and Umaria Singhevansa and Randhir. The musican backing for the ‘Dedunna Wage’ musical extravaganza will provide by the band ‘Reed’.
‘It is with much excitement I am planning to do this concert in international standards and I hope we would be able to do something unusual for Sri Lankan music lovers’ Dushayanth said.Dancer Hashini Gonagala and D-Star Regiment Dance Troupe will be in action at the night.
‘Obe Hasarel’ and ‘Karaliya’ – with background dancers, ‘Jeththu noney’, ‘Ahanna adare tharam’ a song with Santhush Weeraman, ‘Pana senehasa’( with background dancers), ‘Mathake Hasarel’, ‘Gassa gassa’ and a song with Bathiya Jayakody are some of the hits that Santhush has planned to perform at the show.
Duets with Umaria, Nirosha Virajini and Mariazelle Gunathileka will also be on cards. Apart from Sinhala songs Dushyanth’s signature songs ‘Black or white’, Billie Jean’ and ‘Heal the world’ sung by late Michael Jackson will also be performed.
‘There will be 27 songs which are listed to sing at this concert’ he added.
