Former US diplomat joins US advisory to lead South Asian operations
View(s):BowerGroupAsia (BGA), a top Southeast Asia-focused business advisory company in the US, said this week that former U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh and Nepal, Jim Moriarty, has joined the company to lead the development of its new South Asia business. “Mr Moriarty’s arrival marks BGA’s intent to take its winning formula supporting the world’s premier companies in Southeast Asia and the Pacific to South Asia’s top markets. Ambassador Moriarty will open business for the company in Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka,” according to a BGA media release.
“Jim is among the top American strategists for the entire Asia Pacific region, and he built his hands-on expertise in South Asia on top of an incredible foundation in East Asia. That means that Jim Moriarty is uniquely positioned not only to help our clients interested in South Asia get the granular service we provide in Southeast Asia, but also help them connect the dots as Southeast Asia and its neighbours integrate their economies,” BowerGroupAsia CEO Ernest Bower was quoted as saying.
“The prospect of helping our clients do business in a region with some of the fastest growing economies in the world excites me. South Asia holds great potential for those willing to get involved. I look forward to putting together a first-class team in each of these important countries that will help our clients unlock that potential,” Mr Moriarty said upon joining BowerGroupAsia as its Managing Director for South Asia.
