No matter what happens, the business sector and the economy as a whole will always need accountants. This is the reason I wanted a career in Accountancy. However in a fast changing world, a mere paper qualification that fits only one sector of society is no longer in demand. Instead the world now concentrates on degrees and qualifications that have the flexibility to work across sectors and industries.

Therefore  the qualification is an ideal tool to battle the future,”so stated Nadeera Udawatte, a student at the Colombo University doing her Bachelors in Management and Finance, aiming of becoming a CFO or a Managing Director in the next ten years.
“Due to the knowledge I have gained through ACCA, I find my studies at the University very easy and have always managed to score high marks in my exams at the University. In fact I have been one of the students in my batch that have constantly continued to gain top marks in all the subjects,” she said.

Finding the ACCA Qualification to be very dynamic and relevant to the ever-changing business world, Nadeera  assured that she is committed to engage in continuous professional development to be ACCA qualified. ”Having the ACCA Qualification will make a big difference to my career as it opens various doors due to the flexibility of study.”

“This is a qualification I have no qualms in promoting. It has helped me build my ambitions and goals and taught me valuable life lessons which will be hard to erase. For the future, such qualifications are a must if ones target is to reach the zenith,” she stated.
