The Annual Summit & Awards Ceremony of Highlight Leaders – Business Leaders’ Training Club was held at last week in Hotel Galadari, with over 150 leadership graduates receiving their certificates & special awards. Highlight Leaders – Business Leaders’ Training Club was established about a decade ago as a subsidiary of WISDOM TRAINER International & Kuma Iddamallena International and Personality Training Specialist Dr. Kuma Iddamallena heads this club as the CEO. Thousands of business entrepreneurs have attended special enterprise development & leadership training programmes throughout the period.

The Annual Summit, which is conducted every year, is the most awaited exclusive event of the club, which recognizes the outstanding performers who have excelled in their personal life, profession & business.Prof. H.D. Karunarathne, the Dean of the Faculty of Management & Finance, University of Colombo, was the Chief Guest of this event. Prof. Chithra Wedikkara, the President of Institute of Architects & Ven. Dr. Bandagiriye Somawansa Thero, Advisor to His Excellency the President for Early Childhood Development & Primary Education & Director General- National Children’s Educational Foundation attended as the Guests of Honour. Senior Highlight Leader Desha Shakthi Mr. Dilakshan Fernando, The Chairman & Managing Director of Dilshan Trade Centre also attended the event.

The Chief Guest, Prof. H.D. Karunarathna, addressing the gathering emphasized the importance of financial literacy for becoming successful in any type of business in today’s context. “Many businesses today fail not due to economic conditions of the country or any other external factors but mainly because of the lack of right level of financial management of business entrepreneurs”, the professor said.
