Hilton’s ‘Street Party’ to commemorate 25 years
View(s):A grand musical entertainment evening with Street Cooking Festival has been organized by the Hilton Colombo to commemorate its 25 years operations in Sri Lanka on 25 August starting from 6.00pm.
The evening will include a line up of leading Sri Lankan acts with an array of performances by best known contemporary artistes from the likes of Iraj Weeratne, Bathiya & Santhush, Lahiru Perera and ‘Corrine and Kevin Almedia with Beat Box’ adding to the dazzle of the evening.
Further entertainment acts for the evening will include Jananath and his bank of drummers and the Hilton Colombo’s very own award winning Flair Bartender Dian who will be displaying his bartending skills.
There will be stilt walkers and street fashion on the center stage which is fully done with digital lightings and effects with LED Wall as the back drop.
Hilton Colombo will be commemorating its 25th anniversary with a special culinary treat for guests. The hotel invites all food lovers onto one street for their inaugural Street Cooking Food Festival featuring stations serving flovours from around the world.
The much anticipated food festival will take place on the 25th of August from 6.00 pm to midnight down Bank of Ceylon Mawatha, offering a variety of mouth-watering eats. Entrance for the food festival will be free with the delicious eats priced at Rs. 200/- upwards.
Hilton’s Street Cooking Festival will offer tantalizing dishes from a range of countries across the world including local specialties such as hoppers and kottu to Chinese Szechuan fried rice with chicken and assorted fried dim sum, Thai Satays to Japanese sushi and tempura and Arabic shawaramas.
Also available on the evening will be appetizing giant German bratwurst which will be cut and served on request, large American 25 cm submarines and 25.5 kg Giant South African Chicken boerewors. Stalls will also offers fresh juices and a Long Bar will be set up to serve refreshing cocktails.
