Amputee makes Ramadan appeal
M. Shahul Hameed, 60, a father of three from Wellampitiya, was a three wheeler driver until he suffered the misfortune of having had one of his legs amputated as a result of diabetes. He had to sell his three-wheeler to raise money for his medical bills.
Hameed now struggles to make ends meet by running a small chicken stall in his house. He wants to build a small shop in front of his house where he can also sell some other items and is appealing for help so that he can earn a living, despite his disability.
In this month of Ramadan, he is hopeful that he will receive assistance to start this small business.
Any donations, could be sent to his Savings Account – No. 3289556, M. S. Hameed, Bank of Ceylon, Dematagoda Branch, Colombo 9.
