Akbar Pharmaceuticals wins five SLIM-NASCO awards
View(s):Akbar Pharmaceuticals recently received a total of five awards (2 Gold and 3 Silver awards) in the Health Care category at the recently concluded SLIM/NASCO 2012 awards ceremony held at Water’s Edge, Battaramulla. Kasun De Silva, and Pradeep Jayamuni, won Gold awards in the Territorial Manager and Front Liner Categories respectively while Silver awards were won by Sadat Lameerudeen, (Territorial Manager Category), Shahan Chandraratne, (Executive Category) and Dilshan Mallikarachchi, (Front Liner Category), the company said.
The first pharmaceutical company in Sri Lanka to receive the prestigious ISO 9001 2008 award for quality management, Akbar Pharmaceuticals created history in 2011, when it commissioned for the first time in Sri Lanka, a fully equipped state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for producing respiratory care products. The company currently represents well known medical manufacturers and brands in Japan, Australia, India, Pakistan, Germany, Switzerland, UK and USA.
