Harpo’s Tourism School completes course for second batch of eastern students

Harpo’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management saw the completion of 70 students in Batticaloa in Hospitality programme course covering Front Office Operation and Service and Food and Beverage Service. This is another initiative taken by the organization in training the youth with the required skills in Hospitality & Tourism sector supplying trained personnel to the hotels in the East coast, the company said in a statement. All students who completed the course have found employment, it said.

The training and development modules focused the important aspect of service delivery, quality factors, identifying the skills and knowledge required in providing an excellent service whilst enhancing the competency levels of the students. “The training courses provide students with required confidence-building positive attitudes so that hotels especially in the East Coast will have sufficiently qualified and skilled personnel to help achieve their desired results, meeting guest expectations,” it said.

Harpo’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, in association with Princeton Institute of Education in Melbourne Australia, offers Diploma courses in Hospitality.
