New GM for Centara in Sri Lanka

Centara Hotels and Resorts in Sri Lanka will be headed by the new appointment of its Cluster General Manager for the country Alexandre Glauser, the company announced last week. The two managed resorts in Sri Lanka namely Centara Ceysands Resort and Spa Sri Lanka and Centara Passikudah Resort and Spa Sri Lanka will come under Mr. Glauser purview. The new GM’s career spans 11 years previously heading the Villas and Resort for Centara in Phuket.

Prior to entering the hospitality industry after studying at the Geneva Hotel Management School, Mr. Glauser worked in the airline industry. In 1998 he was appointed Assistant Food and Beverage Manager with Minor Hotels in Hua Hin and two years later joined Hilton International in Hurghada in Egypt as Food and Beverage Manager. From an Executive Assistant Manager posting with Centara Hotels and Resorts at Central Samui Beach Resort, Koh Samui in 2001, he was later appointed to the Central Karon Village and Central Waterfront Suites in Phuket as General Manager.
