View(s):IDM Nations Campus (Pvt) Ltd Proudly announces its October 2012 intake of Two highly rated M.sc in Strategic IT management and M.Sc in IT Management offered by University of Wolverhampton- UK (UOW-UK). 10 batches of these programmes have been successfully completed and ideally suited for students who require postgraduate Qualifications. All the M.Sc Proggrames are delivered by University of Wolverhampton’s School of Technology (Stech) at IDM Colombo. Each module will have a module support tutor from IDM. The final research project will be jointly supervised by STech and IDM staff.
These programmes are specially designed for graduates and members of professional bodies with managerial experience. M.Sc in Strategic IT Management offers participants the real edge in modern business development and planning using Information Technology tools.
Blended learning strategy is used in addition to class room delivery, all modules will have electronically supported online platforms, WOLF2 and PebblePAD, which allow students and tutors interaction and all module contets have been customized to suit Sri lankan conditions by way pf examples or case studies to suit specific local issues. University of Wolverhampton (UOW) referencing techniques and standards are taught in order to improve the independent learning skills. Independent learning refers to a concept where learners are involved in their own learning process.
They are taught how to make meaningful connections with the world out side the classroom. Instead of relying on the teacher to do the thinking for them, they take responsibility for thinking and learning. University of Wolverhampton online Learning Framework (WOLF2) will be widely used to facilitate project management and support students’ learning process.
