Zillione Technologies celebrates 10th anniversary
View(s):Sri Lankan IT company Zillione Technologies earns 70 per cent of its revenues as a result of its Microsoft LAR (Large Account Reseller) licence sales, while the balance is from solutions it provides on various Microsoft platforms such as registry server Active Directory and email server Exchange, according to the local company’s Chief Operating Officer Kanchana Silva.
A part of Zillione, a company offering Sage ACCPAC enterprise resource planning solutions since 1992, its technologies’ arm recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with a cocktail for its corporate customers at Waters Edge in Battaramulla. Further, Mr. Silva also noted that the company had experienced a steady, year-on-year growth, and that their customers were mostly in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. However, he also revealed that there had been a recent drop in growth in the Maldives, a continuing repercussion of the recession, but its Sri Lankan business had continued its growth recently. Also, he added that the most recent growth had come from the BFSI (Banking Financial Services and Insurance) sector as well as new customers from manufacturing firms accredited by the local Board of Investment (BOI).
On the other hand, customers in the Maldives were mostly tourism related projects. Commenting on the steps Zillione Technologies was taking for the future, Mr. Silva indicated that Microsoft Office365 and Linc were technologies they were building up capacity for and their main hurdle to overcome was adjusting to the online pricing structure unique to SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) offerings.
