42nd Club installation ceremony of Leo club of Wattala

Leo club of Wattala conducted their 42nd club installation ceremony on the 5th of August at Parakrama Lamanivasaya Nagoda , Kandana. Chief guest for the programme was District President Leo/ Lion Chitral Fernando and Guest of Honour being Lion Neomal Suraweera . Further special guest for the occasion was Multiple District President Leo Dhanushka Ramanayake and 30 leos from the Leo club of Wattala and district 306 B1 participated for the function.

During the fiscal year 2011/2012 Past President Leo Veronica Srimalee guided the members of Leo club of Wattala to become the best club in the district 306 B1 and became one of the 5 best clubs in Sri Lanka. We like to wish Leo Veronica a job well done and incoming president Leo Arjuna Mahadeva and his newly appointed team a successful year ahead.

The installation ceremony was highlighted at the end of the program with a child care project, where the Leo club of Wattala facilitated 20 children in the Lamanivasaya with school shoes for these less privileged children and also provided 40 children in the orphanage with a dinner. This was another successful project conducted by the members of Leo club of Wattala and focus on child care to these less privileged children.
