Inaugural Certificate Awarding Ceremony of ICT Training Programme
View(s):The inaugural Certificate Awarding Ceremony of ICT Training Programe at the Security Headquarters was held recently at the SFHQ, Wanni. Major General Sumedha Perera was the chief guest of the event which was graced by several key officials from the Army and IDM Nations Campus. 300 Officers & Other rankers who successfully completed ICT Training Programme conducted by IDM Nations Campus were awarded certificates.
The ICT Training programme commenced in the month of Spetember 2011, with a comprehensive ICT facility setup at the SFHQ, Wanni by IDM Nations Campus. IDM has established a fully fledged Air Conditioned ICT Training facility with 30 Computers including Multimedia facility.
The Aspirant learners were trained with a custom made curriculum with its special focus to ICT Fundamentals, Office Automation, Internet & Email, Computer Hardware and Graphics Designing providing a great entry qualification to the world of ICT. End of the programme the learners were given the opportunity to further their education in the field of ICT with their chosen interest.

The batch toppers were recognized and awarded with Medals of achievements. Seen below is a picture showing Major General Sumedha Perera Awarding a Batch Topper of the Batch L/CPL Samantha Wickramasinghe with a Medal. The event was graced by key officials of IDM including the Managing Director Mr. Vinayagamoorthy Janagan and Director of Studies Mr. Lionel Perera. Mr. Lionel Perera assured the commitment of IDM Nations Campus in assisting delivering training where it is much needed. Seen in the picture is Mr. Janagan (IDM) providing a Laptop Computer to the SFHQ, Wanni handed over to Major General Sumedha Perera.
