Bio-mass products firm saves SL Rs 2 bln in forex annually
View(s):Professional Met Consultancy Services (Pvt) Ltd has been awarded the Sri Lanka National best Energy Services Company award for the second consecutive year at the recent Sri Lanka National Energy Efficiency awards held in Colombo.
The company is actively engaged in the supply, installation and commissioning of bio-mass projects utilizing indigenous fuels (firewood, saw dust, paddy husk, etc) as an alternate to imported fossil fuel used extensively in Sri Lankan industry.
By implementing bio-mass projects the company has been able to reduce imported fuel use by 21 million litres, enabling a saving of Rs. 2 billion in foreign exchange per year for the country, it said in a media statement. The company conducts training programmes, workshops and awareness programmes on energy saving and energy conservation and energy management for engineers, technicians and other officials in the industrial sector in the country through their training centre. Its main areas of business are Turnkey Projects of Bio-mass Boilers, Thermic & Hot water Heaters, Bio-mass Power Plants, all types of Pollution Control Plants, Energy audits, training programmes for Energy conservation, turnkey LED & Solar lighting systems, Supplying of all types of Flow meters, Flue gas analyzers, Industrial pumps, Heat Exchangers etc.
