Gospel songs from Lankika
View(s):A New CD ‘Adara Yesuni’ comprising sixteen original Gospel songs by Lankika Perera of Golden Chimes will be released on 30th September, her Birthday to commemorate 40 years in the field of music.
This launching ceremony will be held at the Holy Emmanuel Parish Hall in Moratuwa at 10.00 am on Sunday.
Most of the songs are penned and composed by Lankika and Chanaka Perera of the Golden Chimes, Rev. Lakpriya de Silva and Lucky Deva.
Her two little grand-daughters namely, Liana and Chameena Perera, husband Chanaka, two sons, Chamine and Chamila have also joined with her in singing the songs.
The first copy of the CD will be presented to Rev. Lakpriya de Silva. Lankika has been in the music field since 1971 and she has released two gospel CDs ‘Yesusge Geetha’ and ‘Yesus men Mithurek’ few years ago.
She thanked and praised God for all the blessings received for the past 41 years in the field of music. She is a Sunday School teacher at the Holy Emmanuel Sunday School since 1979.
