Avirate goes to India in big way
Avirate recently announced exciting new plans to expand beyond Sri Lanka’s shores, with the unveiling of its chain of stores in India. Avirate will be available for India’s fashion elite in stores spanning Delhi, Gurgaon, Chennai, Pune, Goa and Mumbai, among others.
The expansion follows the ‘fantastic response’ Avirate received for its store in Bangalore in India, said CEO of Avirate Asim Younoos. “Our Indian buyers were very receptive of the store, which prompted us to expand further,” he said, adding that Avirate had also tied up with several online portals in India, through which buyers will be able to access Avirate designs online.
Meanwhile in Colombo, the Avirate Café also announced its introduction of frozen yoghurt to its menu, with strawberry and banana flavours and an array of exciting toppings (mouthwatering hits include chocolate chip cookies and M&M’s).
