Kids at the Taste of Colombo Fest
View(s):For 5 days – the Green Path of ViharaMahadevi Park will come alive with a festival atmosphere. Compounding on the celebratory mood of the nation which will stem from the T20 Cricket World Cup being hosted in the island – the festival will be a dizzying rush of tastes, sounds, sights and excitement.
On Saturday, the 29th of September – the festival will host a wide array of events catered especially for children. Events includes Atlas Journiour Artist of the year. At this event, children will be able to display their art skills and win exciting prizes.
There will be three categories, one for those aged 2 to 5 years, the second for those ages 6 to 10 years and the third for those aged 11 to 14 years.
Also on board is the Remote Control Car competition where children will be able to watch their cars race against each other in s dizzy, thrilling race.
A special Tarmac Track will be created for the race and the race caterogries will be created and cars assinged to them – accroding to the type of car entered. ‘This is not all. We also have an ice cream eating contest, street magic shows, games stalls, stick walkers and much, much more’ said Dinusha Kudagoda, the man behind the TOC.
