The high riding Moragasmulla SC who were unbeaten met their Waterloo when Colombo Veterans SC trounced them by three goals to one in their Colombo Football League Division Two soccer fixture at the City League ground recently. At the short whistle Colombo Veterans held a two nil lead. In the 20th minute of play, Colombo Veterans striker A. Dammika opened the scoring and eight minutes later, G.H.K. Karunaratne made it 2-0.

After the change of ends, Isuru Priyankara booted the first and only goal to make the score 2-1. In the 58th minute, mid field M. Imtiaz sealed a 3-1 win for Colombo Veterans when he beat the Moragasmulla keeper.
