Eminent professionals on Golden Key Hospital’s Advisory Committee
View(s):The Golden Key Eye & ENT Hospital has announced the appointment of an Advisory Committee including leading medical professionals to assist in the management of the hospital and its further development, the hospital company said.
Professor Rohan Jayasekara, Senior Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Colombo is Chairman of the Advisory Committee, which includes Dr. Saliya Pathirana, Dr. Saumya Paranavitana, Dr. Dilruwani Aryasingha and the hospital’s Chief Operating Officer Niranjan Silva.
“The Golden Key Eye & ENT Hospital is the only private super-specialty category hospital in Sri Lanka, and the best-equipped facility in its field of expertise,” said COO and Advisory Committee Member Niranjan Silva in a media statement. “It is therefore important that medical professionals play a key role in steering it to maximise its potential for the benefit of patients.”
A centre of excellence for eye and ENT related investigations, treatment and surgery; the Golden Key Eye & ENT Hospital is the only private facility in Sri Lanka where all eye-related investigations and treatment can be done under one roof. Tests such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA), Fundus Photography. GDX, A&B scans, as well as treatments such as photocoagulation laser and phacoemulsification surgery for cataracts are done routinely at the hospital. At present it is the most advanced and only facility of its kind in the country. It is also the leading private medical facility in Sri Lanka to offer vitreoretinal surgery for problems such as retinal detachment and vitreous haemorrhage.
