ICBT Campus the best Edexcel Centre in Sri Lanka for the second successive year
View(s):The leader in private sector higher education ICBT campus received another International accolade from Edexcel UK as the best Edexcel in Sri Lanka, with most number of students. This is the second successive year Edexcel UK has recognized ICBT Campus as the leading center in Sri Lanka.
The award was presented by Ms. Isabel Sutcliffe, Interim Director, Centre for Research, Assessment & Evaluation, Edexcel UK to Mr. Mohan Pathirana, CEO/ Executive Director at a special event held in Colombo on the 11th of September 2011. The ceremony was attended by the senior management of ICBT Campus and the Country Manager for Edexcel.
ICBT is the pioneering institute in Sri Lanka to offer Edexcel qualifications and has over 70% of the market share in Sri Lanka. Over 3000 students are currently enrolled at ICBT Campus for Edexcel HNDs in branches in Colombo, Mount Lavinia, Nugegoda, Kandy, Galle and Matara.
ICBT Campus introduced “Dual HND” concept where students get two different HND’s during the same study period. This doubles the students further study options and employment. This concept was not available within the worldwide operations of Edexcel, since introduced by ICBT, many local and foreign Edexcel providers have adopted the Dual HND concept. As another first in the world ICBT is currently working on HND, USA transfer program, where students can enter American Universities at the third year.
