My ninth birthday party
It was a joyful surprise
for my ninth birthday
When all my cousins and family stayed
Balloons and decorations gazing everywhere
Everyone had beautiful dresses to wear
When they all sang the song
‘Happy Birthday’
I blew the candles in one puff and
made a wish for my birthday
Then cut the delicious cake and
served my cousins and family
That’s how my ninth birthday went happily.

Jellyfish
The jellyfish is not a fish. It has no bones but has a few weak muscles. Most of its body is made up of water. Therefore it floats in the water, going wherever the current takes it.
There are many kinds of jellyfish, most of which are shaped like an umbrella or bell. There are many stages in a jellyfish’s lifecycle, starting with the egg, followed by the polyp and ending as a free-floating adult.
The hatched eggs are called polyps. They fasten themselves to a rock or other objects in the water. They slowly grow into the shape of a shallow bowl which looks like a flower with its petals stuck together. The petals drop off one by one and begin swimming around. Each petal is really a baby jellyfish.
Jellyfish attack people by stinging and inserting venom where the person might be killed in a matter of seconds.
’Dried Jellyfish Dish’ is very popular among Asians. I like to observe jellyfish when we go snorkelling underwater.
