Sunshine Holdings PLC this week completed its rebranding exercise bringing its businesses under one identity. As a part of the rebranding exercise the group has introduced a new logo, portraying a conch shell, which is a traditional symbol of courage, prsperity and Sri Lankan identity, according to a company statement.

The rebranding ceremony was held at the Group’s head office amidst a gathering of staff and well wishers. Chairman of the group Rienzie T. Wijetilleke, Group Managing Director Vish Govindasamy and members of the board of directors of the group graced the event.

A highpoint of the Sunshine Holdings rebranding ceremony was the launch of a recognition programme for a group of students who had gained promising results at G.C.E O/Level and A/Level examinations. The students were selected from families of the Sunshine Holdings staff, the company said. The group through its CSR programme sponsored the secondary and tertiary education of the students.

Mr Govindasamy said, “We are a sustainable organization, which has helped to build communities in the plantation sector, been involved in the health sector of the country and are now also contributing green energy to the national grid. We have expanded to the tourism sector as well, which we consider to be a growth industry in the country. But through all this our people have always been our greatest asset and we have contributed immensely not only to the welfare of our staff but also their families.”

Sunshine Chairman Mr Wijetilleke said that with this new logo, “I believe, our group will be identified in every nook and corner of the country.”
