The BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance award is a qualification in its own right. Graduates from the award will be equipped for careers in the accounting and auditing professions. What is it about?

Students will develop practical accounting skills and learn to produce financial accounts and interpret financial statements. They will also develop skills necessary for management and financial decision-making in a modern business context.

What you do

A range of topics designed to provide appropriate skills in the basics of Accounting and Finance including Financial Accounting, Financial Services, Economics, Law, and Business Skills. Your studies will include Advanced Financial Accounting, Management Accounting Techniques, Applied Accounting Software (Sage software), Taxation, and Managing People and Performance.

You will develop advanced skills in areas of study including Financial Reporting and Audit, Strategic Management Accounting, Corporate Finance, Accounting Theory and Practice. Students also develop their Research and Data Analysis skills in preparation for an independent research project.
