Led by M.A.M. Shibly and Coached by A H M Hanafi Zahira National School, Matale beat Ajmir N.S. Ukuwela 3-2 on penalties to emerge Champions in the Matale District Inter School Boys under 15 Soccer Tournament 2012 concluded last Thursday at Bernard Aluvihare Stadium, Matale.

Six teams from Vijaya College, Hindu M.V. Matale, Ajmir N.S. Ukuwela, Dambulla Central Kimbissa MV Sigiriya and Zahira Matale, participated in the tournament conducted by FFSL under its youth football development programme.

In the run up to the final Zahira (a goal by M A M Sameen) beat Kimbissa MV 1-0 and then beat Dambulla Central by 5-0
M.A.M. Sameen was named the best player of the tournament.
