Rowing doubles for Musaeus and Asian International
View(s):Musaeus College and Asian International School rowed ahead to claim a double each at the 1st Mora Sculling Regatta that was organized by the Rowing Crew of the University of Moratuwa on the waters of the Beira Lake recently.
Musaeus College claimed their double by winning the girls under 16 and 19 overall championships. Asian International pocketed their double by winning the same events in the boys segment.
After a long lay off from rowing, St. Joseph’s College showed they are a side to be reckoned with by winning the under 13 championship.
This event was formerly the Bolgoda Regatta which was conducted for eight consecutive years. However, this year as it could not be held at Bolgoda, the students of the rowing crew of the University of Moratuwa took over the responsibility of conducting the event and did an excellent job to make it a resounding success.
