Cutting the best figure at Asian Super Model contest

Willowy Lankan model Jayamali Erangika Wijesuriya made it to the Top Ten of The Asian Super Model contest and won the coveted award for Best Figure at the contest.Jayamali and Chulakshi Ranatunga, representing Sri Lanka were among leading models from 14 countries including China, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Kazakhastan, Russia and others vying for the honours at the contest which was held for the seventh time.

Well known Sri Lankan photographer Jayantha Wedasinghe was invited to be on the panel of judges for the show which had its grand finale on Sept 29 at China’s Guangxi TV station in Nannging with Chinese model ShuYa Xie taking the title. Wedasinghe who holds the local franchise for the Asian Super Model contest said Jayamali and Chulakshi were chosen after a competition – the Miss Super Model contest was held locally and he was proud that Sri Lanka had been well represented at this international forum.
