“Roots of Sri Lankan music” now on DVD
The Millions of Sri Lankan fans who missed the historic concert ‘SALUTE TO THE ROOTS OF SRI LANKAN MUSIC’ due to the limited number of seats available at the picturesque Nelum Pokuna on 16th june 2012 would be delighted to hear the release of the DVD of the said event.
This one of its kind musical extravaganza which happened to be the very first appearance of the 60’s,70’s and 80’s at Nelum Pokuna exposes the history of the legendary Sri Lankan entertainers Such as Eddie Jayamanna, Rukmani Devi, Wally Bastian, Harold Seneviratane, Mohideen Baig, Vivian De Silva Boralessa, Latha Walpola, C.T. Fernando, Neville Fernando, Clarence Wijewardane, H.R. This DVD containing 50 popular songs of yesteryear choreographed by Gayani Dance Studio and Compeered by the veteran Vijaya Corea is produced by Star Lanka music under the guidance of Rajiv Sebastian.
